This compilation surfaced in February this year and a big thank you to hawkfan369 for sharing the tracks at Crosstown Torrents.

The Bob Terry Tapes were a treat, but this one tops it totally. Remember very well the first time I heard the take of ATW where Jimi plays the solo differently. It totally blew me away. Had my CD player on “repeat” with that track for days. And the Come On takes are even new to me! Guess it’s gonna be “repeat” again for the next few days. - Thunderbaas

It amazes me, but some of the Come On outtakes were used as a filler on a Berkeley tape I obtained through a Dutch radio show back in the eighties. Never knew what I had it appears… But basically, I am overjoyed that new material still surfaces after so many decades… - Ezy Rider

notes:
- The existence of the "All Along The Watchtower" Session & Mixing tapes first became known to the public through an article in Jimpress issue 87, p.27-31, in the sping of 2009, while there was a mention of the "Come On - Part 1" Session tape as far back as in 2000 (Jimpress issue 70, p.45). None of these tapes did however make it into general circulation until the "release" of this CD in february 2012, and this set compiles most - if not all - of what's available from the sessions in question.
