THE JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE
Lookin’ For Trouble [ATM 144, 1CD]
Live at Maple Leaf Gardens, Toronto, Canada; May 3, 1969. Very good audience recording.

Rick B posted the following comment at forums.stevehoffman.tv:

I attended that concert when I was 17… This concert had faded in my memory and to hear it again is a very special experience (ha!). I remember being a little disappointed that Jimi didn’t play too many of his big tunes - I now realize that he was especially hot on guitar that night with several really great extended solos. He was in a bit of a down mood that night as he’d just been busted for alleged heroin possession in Toronto that day and he poured his emotions into his concert.

We got our show back in 2006. Thanks also to hpjohnse for keeping the show alive at The Traders’ Den.

From the release notes:
Some minor clicks here and there are touched up, while others couldn’t be fixed. A number of microphone hits have a little volume correction on to limit their impact. There’s also a lot of mic rustling (especially during the beginning of “Room Full Of Mirrors” (10)), but nothing could be done about theses. Furthermore there’s also what sounds like distortion in one channel beginning about halfway through the disc, but again this couldn’t be cleaned up. This is a mono source, but either during the original recording, or the transfer over to digital, there was a little phase offset introduced (possibly due to slightly out of alignment heads). Not a lot, just enough to give it a minor psuedo-stereo effect. The offset is very minor (only a few samples), and the left and right channels are practically the same, so this has also been left as is.
