This One’s For You [Veteran Music Inc; 1CD]
Various studio outtakes and jams from 1968-1970. Very good soundboard (?); ripped from vinyl.
Thanks to Emilovius for sharing the tracks on the net.
Some tracks are still very rare today…
The problem with this bootleg [vinyl] is that it was produced in 1987 and each side contains more than 29 minutes of music. Since the vinyl LP standard [for best sound] is a maximum 22 minutes on each side, you can see where the main problem lies. At the same time, the LP is very thin (80g ?) and it’s also safe to assume that not the best material was used in the manufacturing process. In short, even if brand new, this album contains a lot of imperfections, clicks and pops although the overall sound quality isn’t bad at all. The bright side is that it’s clear (it sounds that way to my ears but of course, I may be wrong) when you put the LP on the turntable that the sources are analog tapes so the sound is exceptionally soft and realistic. It’s like Jimi is rehearsing in your living room when you turn up the volume… Nearly an hour of great Jimi Hendrix!
