1. 3 Little bears/south southern delta.

the original track was laid down at the record plant in may 1968 by jimi & mitch but was revisited later at an unknown studio whereby a further impromptu jamming took place which included a trip into south saturn delta.

2. Belly button window.

recorded 22nd august 1970 at electric ladyland studios by jimi on his own. an alternate recording appears on first rays album which is longer version. also a longer version again was produced by alan douglas for his "blues" project which is probably a composite of the version you have here with bits of another version added on to the end.

3. country blues (straight mix).

poss recorded at home with a miscellaneous musician friends.

4. hear my train a comin'.

recorded on 21 st may 1969 at the record plant in new york. with the band of gypsies there appears to be an additional percussionist on this session also.

5. new rising sun (m.l.k.).

recorded at the record plant on 23rd october 1968.

6. the things i used to do.

possibly recorded at the record plant in 1969.

7. villanova junction blues jam.

allegedly a recording from jimi's shokan house in woodstock around august 1969 with billy cox, mitch mitchell, larry lee, and juma sultan & jerry velez, but little information is available about this recording.
