Lyrics

about that flying saucers scare
'bout the UFO's that people's been seing.
And what's goin' on up there?
So I went to the most likely place,
Where I thought they'd come around.
Took a peanut butter sandwich and my binoculars.
And thought I'd have a sit-down.
To wait that is.
Suddenly I saw it.
(?) about ten thousand miles (perch?)
Quiet landed just beside me.
And a strange voice said:
"Good evening, sir."
If I knew that you were a man like me,
and you liked rock 'n' roll,
I'd have come to see you, friend,
a long long time ago.

"I'm the leader of a band back home",
said he,
"You should see our go-go girls.
Now I got a new dance I'm gonna show you.
It's gonna solve all the problems in the world.
Now, it's good for headache, heartache, misunderstanding, space ache,
I think you here on earth will call that kind of problems."
Just about the time he was about to show me the dance,
he got a phone call from the space ship.
He said; "Hello. I'm on my way back home now."

If I knew that you were a man like me,
and you liked rock 'n' roll,
I'd have come to see you, friend,
a long long time ago.

If I knew that you were a man like me,
and you liked rock 'n' roll,
I'd have come to see you, friend,
a long long time ago.
